As well as the “standard” ROCfest (we know, nothing about the ROCfest has ever been just standard) we’re adding a Dyno competition (run by Beyond Hope – Metolius, Evolv and Prana), a slacklining jam with 4 of the best UK slackliners (courtesy of Trislacklining), professional sound and lighting for the full event and an awesome souvenir T-shirt.

Entry Prices:

Despite our best efforts, we have to charge everyone an entry fee for the ROCfest. This partially covers the staggering prize fund (over £2700 cash prizes plus more than £2000 worth of equipment), the hard working staff both on the day and for months of preparation leading up to the event, the spectacular shows & professional lighting and sound engineers, and all the other incredible aspects of ROCfest.

For only £18 for an adult and £15 for a child on the day (child prices apply to Under 16s) you get full entry to the day’s events, plus an amazing souvenir limited edition T-shirt.

Spectators will also be charged a nominal fee which goes towards running the spectacle that is ROCfest. This is only £2 for an over 16, and £1 for an under 16.

The building can only hold a limited number of people, so make sure you book your tickets in advance!

Register now online to save £3 on your entry fee.  Online registration closes 17th January

ROCfest Agenda!

With the 1st of February quickly approaching, we thought it wise to give our competitors and spectators an idea of the order of events for the day.

With the doors opening to the public at 9am with bacon butties on sale, the Rock Over car park is set to fill up pretty quickly, however any single yellow line parking spaces or parking bays are free after 12:30 on a Saturday. A map will be posted on our website showing parking locations.

For the customers using public transport, we are a 5 minute walk from Victoria train station and 20 minutes from Piccadilly train station (by using the tram to Victoria train station). Any customers who need a place to stay we have a travel lodge located 100m away located at the postcode M3 1PT.

Hopefully the day will run smoothly however some allocated times may vary on the day with the opening times and finals being the only events that will not change. Prizes are scheduled for handing out after the competition main event, the adult finals and slackline jam which nobody is going to want to miss!

What is bouldering?

You need no ropes, harnesses or other equipment to do it, and there are no scary heights involved! Anybody of any fitness, ability or strength can enjoy bouldering; there is something in it for everyone.

A great work out.

It is a fantastic way of keeping fit and strong, but without putting too much pressure on your body. Watch as you quickly develop and continuously set yourself new heights to aim for.

Just as when you were young and used to climb trees or swing around on the climbing frames, bouldering is a natural, and addictive, sport.

Climbing and bouldering is an extremely relaxed and sociable pastime. It is a great way of meeting new people and staying fit, whilst having fun at the same time.

A challenge.

Some people look to challenge themselves to climb as hard as possible, others just look to enjoy the freedom of movement. You will find a complete mix of abilities from beginners, children, adults, families, and world-class climbers all enjoying themselves.

For the family.

Parents and children can climb together, or if you prefer Mums and Dads, you can just chill reading the paper and having one of our tummy-filling cakes, whilst the little ones wear themselves ragged having a brilliant time on our walls.
